A little about the artist: Michael Bowling

Michael Bowling is an up and coming local artist residing in Columbus. He works mainly with acrylic paint on canvas although is also very comfortable sketching with a pen or pencil and a piece of paper. His creations consist of both custom and original pieces for purchase at local gallery hops or by contacting the artist directly.

“I would love to tell you why art is my world and my life. It's not only something that I just do; it is something I can’t help but do. Yes, I believe in the whole "I was born to do it” idea; it is me. I love exploring what will come next in my journey in the world of art. Whether it's through painting, playing guitar, singing, writing lyrics, dancing or anything that I find along the way, I’m simply adding to my journey. Art is my “pick me up” and my way of showing any emotion that I am feeling. 
My brain isn't much of anything else but art. Ask me a math question and you will find the truth in that, but I might use what I was born with to figure it out. I sometimes find myself lost in my own mind not really listening to much of anything else, just putting a picture together in my head or letting my mind drift away to take me to a place nobody else can visit, but I can paint it, write it, dance it, or sing it - just for you to feel it. I really hope my art will give you the same idea and picture I have in my mind just because it is one fun experience.”
